Beulah Sickle Cell Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by sickle cell disease. Our mission is to provide vital resources and support individuals and families impacted by SCD. We envision a world where sickle cell disease is understood, effectively treated, and no longer limits the lives of those living with it. Through advocacy, education, and compassionate care, we are working to empower the sickle cell community and create a future where the disease is no longer a burden.

What We Do

We’re committed to supporting and empowering sickle cell warriors in Abuja through comprehensive care and dedicated initiatives. Our work includes:

Free Medications

We provide essential routine medications and vital nutritional supplements (like Citamil, through partnerships) at no cost during our Abuja clinics to help warriors effectively manage their condition and improve their overall health.

Comprehensive Clinical Care

Our monthly clinics offer warriors in Abuja free medical consultations with healthcare professionals, support for necessary laboratory tests, assistance with accessing blood transfusions when critical, and consistent health monitoring.

Community Awareness

Psychosocial Counselling

We offer professional counselling and dedicated support services to help sickle cell warriors and their families navigate emotional challenges, combat societal stigma, build self-esteem, and foster resilience.

Health Interventions

We implement specialized health programs, such as providing dedicated care and treatment for leg ulcers, addressing specific and often debilitating complications of sickle cell disease to enhance the quality of life for warriors.

Vocational Skills Empowerment

We equip sickle cell warriors with practical vocational skills and training, fostering their independence, economic self-reliance, and ability to contribute meaningfully to society despite their health challenges.
